    Drawing a Tarot card

    Tarot

Tarot practitioners are recommended to draw a tarot card per day but lack proper method to do so.

When drawing a card for the day, try to commit as much as possible of the image to memory. Project mentally yourself into the image first as an observer and then as active participant .Redraw the card during the day and review the card at the end of the day for detail you might have missed. The value of Tarot is not in predicting the future but in using it to create a better future. One has to actively engaged with the Tarot images to make a connection between the conscious mind and the subconscious mind so that the subconcsious ming gets the message of the problem or situation that is dealt with consciously. The card becomes merely a vehicle for allowing solutions to surface from the subconscious to the conscious mind. By engaging with the symbolism actively we begin to recreate our reality and allow the symbolism to enrich our thought processes. Tarot can be practised without the need for some mystical or magical supernatural event or occurance.

  • I have tarot cards..but I never use them. I would have to look up how to interpret them anyway. Heh

  • I like that method. I will have to try that and see how it goes. Thanks for the suggestion. Have a good one.

  • I used to use my tarot more frequently.  I just don't feel the need to as much anymore.  But even when I did, it was never as frequent as daily.  I have nothing against it, of course, I just review things anyway.  Thus, I had not considered too much regarding a daily tarot method.  The act of not only pulling in the morning but  reviewing it at the end of the day sounds logical - though the end of day review (I would imagine) would be more likely to be skipped/ missing.

  • @crazy2love - It does take some time to use the Tarot intuitively. I do not think it is something one has to do...but beneficial to those drawn to the Tarot and its symbols.

@Broom_Service - Was just a short thing I wrote to The Tarot club on Facebook...and I wanted to keep a record of it.

  • @everyday_yogi - Everything in my life goes in its own cycles. There are times when I really work the Tarot on a frequent basis and then there are times when I dont do Tarot at all. Every person must focus on what gives them meaning. The Tarot has enriched my life a lot as a philosophical system and I enjoy working with it. It is not something everybody have to do. People are drawn to different things in their lives and each must be responsible for their own priorities.
