Photo blog - visiting Brussels
Brussels
Photoblog
My trip to Brussels was fun... I will blog later about some of my experiences and observations. Not having much time to to the tourist thing, I could only take a few photos close by to the place I stayed.
1) The street in which my hotel was.
2) A highlight was visiting the Claddagh Toastmaster's club
3) Lovely open space parks gave a moment of rest between work.
4) This garden with its vibrant colors was a lovely find
5) I love towers and this is an amaxing tower. I loved the way I could combine it with a more modern sculpture.
6) This building reminded me of the South African Parliament buildings.
7) There are no shortage of really beautiful old buildings.
8) A statue with the tower and flag in the back ground.
9) The day came to an end...and it was time to pack my bags but even the vaded memory maintains something of the mystique of Brussels.

Great pictures. Thank you for sharing this with us
Beautiful place to visit.
Looks like I am joining in to be the three muskateers in rec this blog. I suppose old and new is really hard to do but still I am glad you pointed out a good example of that.
Looks like students or young tourist by the statue. I heard that they now want to restrict drugs in the Netherlands to be for the locals only. I wonder what else Brussels in Belgium has as an attraction?
Beautiful shots. I love to see other places around the world. I'm looking forward to reading your thoughts about the trip.
Those are wonderful pictures. I really like photo #5 for the same reasons as you do and #9 is beautiful.
What a beautiful place -- it strikes me that it's a very clean city!
@RestlessButterfly - yes, pity it was for only a short visit.
@PPhilip - I have not seen the pissing man ...apparently it is a major attraction or symbol..as well as the symbol of an iron atom.
@songoftheheart - I wil write more about it...but the highlight for me was visiting the Toastmasters club...
@Broom_Service - #9 was taken without a tripod...so I am glad it came out so well.
@slmret - Yes the part where I was, was very clean...good observation.
